Dance-Driven. Artist-Fueled.
The nEW festival is a “dance-driven and artist fueled” program of Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre. nEW provides annual support of choreographic research and professional development for six resident artists by providing daily community class, rehearsal space, studio showings and performances in an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, process, risk-taking, peer response, and community investment in residence at The University of the Arts School of Dance in Philadelphia.
