Gabrielle Revlock
Gabrielle Revlock, dancer and performance artist, founded Mano/Damno, an interdisciplinary arts company in 2002 after graduating from Vassar College with a BA in Art History. For her stage work she has received support from PA Council on the Arts (2009), a New Edge Mix grant (2006) and was selected as the Vassar College Alumnae Choreographer in 2005. Her films have been shown two consecutive years (2007 & 2008) at the dance film festival, Motion Pictures programmed by Philadelphia Dance Projects. As a dancer, she is a company member of Jeanne Ruddy Dance, is currently performing with Meg Foley/Moving Parts, and will soon be appearing in Red Thread with Lisa Kraus. Recently she returned from a tour in Holland with the dutch duo, Isabelle Chaffaud and Jerome Meyer. Other international artists Gabrielle has had the pleasure of working with include UK Choreographer, Sean Feldman, and Austrian, Willi Dorner. As a photographer she has been published in both Smithsonian and Bust magazine. Additionally, Gabrielle is the creator of Wear Your Wig to Work Day, a holiday occurring annually the last Friday in January. In her spare time she makes music and silk screens shirts.
