Limited number of scholarships are available through the nEW Internship Program. Interns in artistic / administrative capacity serve throughout the festival to create continuity in the community. Undergraduate and Graduate students interested in an internship with Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre are required to submit an application including:
  • Cover letter discussing career goals
  • Level of computer proficiency
  • Areas of interest within the nEW Festival
  • Resume
  • Official University or College transcript (all levels, if available)
  • Two current letters of recommendation from individuals that are best able to speak for your background and skills in the areas of performaing arts and / or arts administration, and your ability to learn. Letters must arrive in sealed envelopes with the signature of the letter writer appearing across the seal.
  • Writing sample of no more than three pages
