The Independence Foundation College Internship at nEW

Application Deadline April 1, 2008.

A limited number of paid internships are available through The Independence Foundation College Internship at nEW. Interns in artistic/ administrative capacity serve throughout the festival to create continuity in the community. Unpaid internships may be taken for college credit. Undergraduate and Graduate students interest in an internship with Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre are required to submit an application including:

• Cover letter discussing career goals
• Level of computer proficiency
• Areas of interest within the nEW Festival
• Resume
• Official University or College transcript (all levels, if available)
• Two current letters of recommendation from individuals that are best able to speak for your background and skills in the areas of performing arts and/ or arts administration, and your ability to learn. Letters must arrive in sealed envelops with the signature of the letter writer appearing across the envelope flap.
• Writing sample of no more than three pages.
